Rosalind Jones, age 54, lived in Helensburgh, Scotland. She was well known throughout the town as she was a lollypop lady for 18 years and a carer for 5. A diagnosis of terminal cancer was given 7 weeks before her peaceful passing at home on 2nd October 2007.
Me mam has 6 brothers and sisters, and 8 on ma dads side. Me mam and dad finally got divorced on 1st October 2007 after being separated for 5 years. I have a sister ~ Sylvia and a brother ~ John-Ross with me being the oldest but we work as a team and are an extremely close family, I also have 3 children ~ Riana, Aiden and Jamie~Leigh who me mam adored and loved. Due to me being incapacitated for 2 months me mam became the main carer for my children earlier this year
Rosalind was loved by everyone and had friends the world over. Everybody has commented on what a wonderful, caring, bubbly, great person she was and that she was extremely strong and brave...she faced the road head on with dignity and pride and never blamed the Lord for her suffering but praised Him more for keeping her safe and pain free. Even in her last days she was still sending out jokes on her mobile.
Me mam was my rock, always there for me and full of advice whenever I asked for some. She raised us well with the right values and morals.
At the funeral there was a collection taken for cancer research with the other donations there was £1201 raised in me mams name so far.
Rest In Peace my Lady In Red may you dance among the angels for all eternity
(The angels poem didnt come out right so here is the right way :( )
May these wings give you the strength
To carry on your journey's length
To get yourself from A to Z
To help the little ones to bed
A little prayer or hopeful wish
We read them out, we read the list
Of little thoughts and dreams we know
Of strength and hope when we are low
A moments peace is a handy time
to remind myself why you were mine
And I was yours in family ties
You were the best, I tell no lies
"farewell" to me has a second meaning
"Ill see you soon" is what im meaning
The bonds are strong and forever eternal
Your Motherly wisdom, Now my own Paternal
In loving memory of Rosalind Sutherland Jones
